Create Barcodes Online — Code 128, EAN-13, UPC, and More
Create a scannable barcode in seconds for a product label, an inventory tag, or a shipping carton. UtilHub's free barcode generator makes Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, EAN-8, UPC-E, Code 39, ITF-14, and Codabar codes, and it calculates the check digit for EAN and UPC numbers so you never print a code that fails at the register. Adjust the bar width, height, and color, show or hide the text, and download a crisp SVG for print or a high-resolution PNG. Need a whole run? Paste a list of values and download every barcode in one ZIP file. Barcodes are generated in your browser, with no sign-up and no watermark.

- Adjust the bar width, height, color, and whether the text is shown.
- Check the preview — invalid values are explained right away.
- Download the barcode as SVG or PNG, or all of them as a ZIP file.
Features
- Eight common formats — Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, EAN-8, UPC-E, Code 39, ITF-14, and Codabar for retail, warehouses, and libraries.
- Check digits handled — Enter 12 digits for EAN-13 or 11 for UPC-A and the check digit is added; a wrong one is flagged.

- Bulk export — Paste a list of values and download every barcode in a single ZIP, numbered in order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which barcode type should I use?
Use EAN-13, or UPC-A in North America, for products sold in retail stores, because checkout scanners expect them. Code 128 is best for internal labels, inventory, and shipping because it encodes letters and numbers compactly. ITF-14 marks outer cartons, Code 39 suits older industrial systems, and Codabar still appears in libraries.
Can I use these barcodes on products I sell?
The images are yours to use commercially, with no watermark. For retail products, though, the number itself must be a GTIN licensed from GS1 — Amazon and most retailers check that the code belongs to your company. For internal stock labels you can use any numbering scheme you like.
What is a check digit?
The last digit of an EAN or UPC barcode is calculated from the other digits, so a scanner can detect a misread code. Enter the number without it and the generator adds the correct digit; enter the full number and it tells you when the check digit is wrong, before you print labels that will not scan.
Should I download SVG or PNG?
Choose SVG for printing and design software such as Illustrator, Canva, or label programs: it is vector, so the bars stay sharp at any size. Choose PNG for documents, spreadsheets, and websites. PNG files are exported at four times the preview size, which suits most label printers.
