Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs here?
Yes. The document is read with FileReader and manipulated by pdf-lib inside the page. There is no upload request and no server copy, so a signed contract or a bank statement is no more exposed than it is sitting in your downloads folder.
How many files can I process per day?
As many as you want. Daily limits exist on other sites to cap server costs; here the processing happens on your machine, so there is nothing to ration. No account, no queue, no premium tier.
How much can compression shrink a PDF?
It depends on the source. Scanned documents, which are really images inside a PDF wrapper, often drop by 60–80%. A text-only PDF exported from Word is already compact and may only shrink by 10–20%, since there is little redundancy left to remove.
