Merge Audio Files — Join MP3s Free, No Upload

Join several audio files into one continuous track. Drop the files in, put them in the order you want, choose whether to leave a gap between them, and export a single MP3 or WAV. Files of different formats, bitrates, and sample rates can be mixed freely — everything is decoded and re-encoded on your own device, with no upload.

Most joining jobs are mundane: a recording that stopped and restarted, a set of voice memos that belong together, chapters of an audiobook, a lecture captured in three parts, a playlist that has to become one file for a CD or a car stereo. Doing it by hand in a full audio editor means an import, a timeline, and an export; here the order of the list is the order of the result.

Common ways to use it

  • A recording that split into parts — rejoin them in order.
  • Voice memos from a phone — merge them into one file before sharing or transcribing.
  • An intro, a body, and an outro — assemble a simple podcast episode with a set gap between the sections.
  • Many short clips — turn them into one continuous track for a player that cannot queue files.

The rest of the audio set fits around this: trim each part first, cut the dead air, clean the noise, or transcribe the finished file.

How to use Merge Audio Files

  1. Choose two or more audio files — MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, WebM, or FLAC.
  2. Put them in order with the arrow buttons, and remove anything you do not want.
  3. Pick a gap between tracks and the output format.
  4. Click "Merge Audio", listen to the result, then download it.

Features

  • Mixed formats join cleanly — Different bitrates and sample rates are re-encoded to one consistent track.
  • Your order, not the file names — Move any track up or down before merging.
  • Optional gap — None, half a second, one second, or two between tracks.
  • MP3 or WAV out — Compressed for sharing, or uncompressed for further editing.
  • Up to 20 files — With the combined length shown before you start.
  • 100% browser-based — Nothing is uploaded, and there is no watermark or sign-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I merge files that are in different formats?

Yes. An MP3, a WAV, and an M4A can be joined in any combination. Each file is decoded and the result is re-encoded as one track, which is why mismatched sample rates and bitrates do not cause the glitches you get from simply gluing files together.

Does merging reduce the quality?

MP3 output re-encodes, which is a lossy step — at the quality setting used here the difference is hard to hear, but it exists. Choose WAV if the file is going into further editing, since WAV output is uncompressed.

Can I put a pause between the tracks?

Yes. Choose a gap of half a second, one second, or two seconds and silence of that length is inserted between every pair of tracks. Choose "None" for a seamless join, which is what you want for a recording that was split mid-sentence.

How many files can I join?

Up to 20 at a time. Longer jobs take longer to encode because everything runs on your own device rather than on a server.

Are my files uploaded?

No. FFmpeg runs as WebAssembly inside the browser tab, so the audio never leaves your device.
